shopping?

i've been having the most horrible urge to shop and buy pretty things lately, but considering the small financial funk i am currently in, it just doesn't seem like the smartest idea for me. also, having spent $3000 recently just on clothes and expenses in the states, and since i still have a few pieces that i've yet to touch, going out to buy more things just seems silly. i'm also trying to save up money to get a new lens and flash so i have to keep that in mind.
however, we all know that i love to torture myself, so here's a few things i would buy if i had that i keep dreaming about it, no limit and doesn't need to be paid back credit card:

• so many 'sober is sexy' singlets

but... since i'm a very dedicated little girl, this is what i'm buying:

• some kind of coloured 'toy' smoke bomb material
• duct tape and old barbie dolls
• fake blood
• feathers and ornamental bird cages
• sheet music

inspiration

i hope everyone is doing good. 

i recently hit 100 likes on my facebook page and i'm ridiculously happy, but as usual would really like to get even more. please like my facebook page if you're reading this, takes a second and means the world to me: here. i've been organising quite a number of photo shoots lately but had a bit of a break due to easter. i haven't been to the easter show yet but am going on friday with my boyfriend. probably won't be bringing the camera because of there being a lot of people and really not wanting to damage anything. i ordered a few filters online though and am just waiting for them to come back. i also have my sister's studio set up at home right now so might be able to do some indoor stuff soon too.

next week tuesday i will probably be photographing for a fashion designer and there's a few special projects coming up with various models and musicians. i'm so excited! overall, i don't really have much to share in this post except maybe to show you some images from a guy who is my new favourite photographer and inspiring me so much right now.

i apologize so much for not having anything to post for a long while but this is what happens when you're going through exams and then have nothing else to do but work. i've been out a few times but nothing interesting to share as i didn't take any photos and wore the simplest of things due to the heat. i can share one thing though.

this is the new dream catcher necklace that i bought today and i'm so happy with it. only cost me 4$aud at gloss and, even though it's not brilliant quality, i barely care as it's just a fashion accessory anyway (my actual dream catcher, on another hand, was a present from my sister (in other words, i stole it off her when she moved out) and i'm thinking that i should probably return the gift by getting her a new one. there's some really beautiful ones at the markets.

Hey everybody. Just wanted to do a quick post and thank you for the comments and let you know, I'll be checking out blogs soon. I'm sorry I haven't posted in quite a while but I've been genuinely really sick and exhausted (too tired to even dress up - can you believe it?) so have just be focussing on assessments. I'll try and do some photos today although I can't guarantee I'll have the energy to lift that camera.
I'll show you guys my new clothes once I get around to wearing it in the cold morning.

so basically we had class today and, afterwards, i decided to be a little bit adorable and of the slightest stealthy with my camera. got sweet snaps of tara's dress and thumb's awesome way of matching either his jeans or his shirt to his hair every day. also had a random photo of george and b mac turn out pretty good, especially since i didn't look at the view finder and just basically clicked it. also found the cutest coloured chairs outside the excelsior hotel that i forget to photograph a lot.

it appears my day is to be spend indoors playing an online game (it's called maple story and it's the most childish, geeky thing i could be doing and i love it). one the side, i'm watching some old bewitched and just absolutely loving elizabeth montgomery over and over, because she's so beautiful and i love the conservative, lady-like outfits her character has. serena's outfits are also beautiful, but i do prefer her as samantha. tonight, i'll probably be watching the movie version of this, with nicole kidman. i like it and it makes me laugh, but it will never have anything against the original.

and by never, i mean never.

ps: mum is making a gorgeously delicious lamb steak dinner tonight, potentially with her perfectly roasted pumpkin and potato, so don't mind if any photographs of me tomorrow make me look like a miniature piggy.

not all love stories have to end

due to work and tonight being my niece's birthday, i'm not sure if i'm going to have any photos up, mainly because my sister's isn't too fond about having her children's face online so i can't post them. however, i will say that i gave my sister the make up i bought for her today and the foundation (which i purchased as well) is absolutely divine and i'll be trying to take a photo and have a little giggle about them tomorrow.

in addition, my occ lip tar collection have finally advanced to five little tubes and i'm going to be trying to review them soon, especially since i also have a cheap lip balm that's a perfect primer for all lip colours. everybody should be getting onto it, i'm disappointed i didn't find it sooner.

for now, though

i just thought people might appreciate such a sweet photo of one of my favourite movies, The Notebook. i'm a huge fan of nicholas sparks as a writer and i get so excited every time his books are turned to film, mainly because they have never failed to make me cry. i know a lot of serious readers think his stories are formulaic and cliched (and there are certain rumours going around that sparks is a crabby little hermit too) but, the way i see it, he's onto a good thing.

plus, am I wrong to say she had some of the most perfect vintage (for us anyway, not for the actual time period of the story) outfits? because i was lusting over them the entire movie.

things can never be the same

it's always post number one

i never know how to write the first post in a blog, and i usually end up writing some kind of description of myself, but i figure i might skip all of that this time, purely because too many people do that. so here's the deal with my blogspot - i have a tumblr and i guess i'm mostly on that. however, i had a problem with the nature of that platform which had become a lot more photo and reblogging based, as opposed to actually writing, which i think should be the way a real blog is run, so i started this blog. i know that after some time, it's a handful starting afresh, but i'm going to try and not bother myself too much about traffic (or lack thereof) and just use this to get both my thoughts and my work out there.

i am a fashion blogger, so i will be posting mostly about fashion, style, make up and trends. i am also a photographer so you'll be seeing some pretty photos here in addition to dresses. i also love music and an a musician myself so, who knows, there might be more regarding that as well.

either way, i hope people have fun deciphering and finding out more about my (almost nonsensical) perception of existence.
